This is the second night that I've stayed at Beaudelaire after getting off work and have dreadfully watched as water crept its way under our door. Tonight was the first time it had rained since the flood. Looking around the room, it seemed as though everyone was crossing their fingers and sitting on the edge of their seat when it began to downpour. And rightfully so. I tried to get a snapshot of the rain pelting down on Lincoln Way, and this fine gentleman walked by at the perfect moment. He apologized for "ruining" my picture, but in fact, he ended up making it a great photograph. So, a big "Thank You" to the man who walked by me last night.
